As FX Lead, I led the FX team across all major destruction and creature-driven sequences, ensuring large-scale simulations that integrated seamlessly with the film’s dynamic action. Alongside my supervisory responsibilities, I contributed hands-on work to some of the film’s most complex effects.
Hands-On FX:
- Pyramid Destruction
- Massive Sinkhole: Designed and executed the terrain simulation, ensuring realistic crumbling, displacement, and scale accuracy.
- Godzilla’s Ice Emergence: Built the ice fracturing FX, integrating with character animation and environment interactions.
- Rio Destruction: Created the destruction rigs for large-scale interactions. Developed a modular proxy rig to scale with the wide range of structural build.
- Wartdog Blood Destruction
- Additional FX contributions included various destruction, smoke, dust, and fluid simulations across multiple sequences.
FX Supervision & Leadership:
- Led the FX team, overseeing the execution of all major destruction, creature interactions, and large-scale simulations.
- Collaborated closely with directors, VFX supervisors, and department leads to ensure FX aligned with the film’s creative vision and technical requirements.
- Managed bidding, workflow optimizations, and shot execution, balancing photoreal destruction with cinematic storytelling.
- Optimized FX workflows and shot execution.
